Are you a fiction writer who has applied to MFA programs before and struck out? Would you like to workshop with an experienced instructor and other hopefuls to improve your writing sample and statement of purpose? Join me for a six-week workshop where I discuss what MFA programs are looking for, how to organize your SOP, and strategies for revising your sample. Each student will get to workshop one piece up to 25 pages.
I have been in the Creative Writing MFA game for the past nine years and have helped countless student navigate the MFA application process. Last year's workshop participants have gotten into programs like Iowa, Michigan, and Vanderbilt.

Your sample is the most crucial aspect of your MFA application. If you're looking for experienced one-on-one feedback and guidance on your sample, I am available. I will read your sample, provide a one-page letter with notes and suggestions, and discuss my notes during a 30-minute Zoom or phone call.
