Fiction/Prose MFA Application Bootcamp

Are you a fiction writer who is looking to apply to CW MFA programs in fiction? Or maybe you've applied before and struck out? Would you like to workshop with an experienced instructor and other hopefuls to improve your writing sample and statement of purpose? Join me for a six-week workshop where I discuss what MFA programs are looking for, how to organize your SOP, and strategies for revising your sample. Each student will get to workshop one piece up to 25 pages. 

 

I have been in the Creative Writing MFA game for over ten years and have helped countless student navigate the MFA application process. Last year's workshop participants have gotten into programs like Iowa, Michigan, and Vanderbilt.

By signing up for my Statement of Purpose Consultation service, you have access to an industry expert who has helped hundreds of students over the past eleven years get accepted to MFA programs. Each $150 consultation includes two rounds of edits on your Statement of Purpose plus a chat via text or zoom about your goals and writing. Sliding scale pricing is available.

Applying to MFA programs can feel overwhelming. Between choosing schools, revising your sample, and writing a Statement of Purpose that actually sounds like you, it’s easy to feel lost. This is where I come in.

Through my one-on-one consulting package, I offer individualized support for fiction writers applying to MFA programs in the 2025–2026 cycle.
